JeffStaple I usually like to write comprehensive introductions to these Chronicles, but even a 15-page intro wouldn’t do justice to Jeff Ng’s story.Better known in our little “world” as jeffstaple, the New York-based designer, consultant, etc. (emphasis on the ETC.) has been the archetypal tastemaker, trendsetter, and every other type of influential ingénue that you’d find elaborately delineated in a Malcolm Gladwell book. But beyond that, he’s perhaps the most understated and sensible guy out of this entire industry, and that’s the part that gets me the most. Always a delight to chat with, whether at a party or on a conference panel, he’s the designer’s designer, and the thinking man’s thinking man.
