The Hundreds Warehouse Sale 2018 Recap!

The Hundreds Warehouse Sale 2018 Recap!

We at The Hundreds want to extend a big thank you to every single one of you who made it out to our Warehouse Sale this year. We didn’t have one for the last 2 years, and all of you waited patiently, making this our biggest Warehouse Sale event ever, with the longest lines we’ve ever seen. It was nothing short of amazing reuniting with you, our fans and family.

Check out our recap photos below, shot by Christian Perez and our recap video by Christopher Caspe (@epsvk).

Speaking on this year’s massive Warehouse Sale comeback, Bobby Hundreds put it perfectly:

“The line started Thursday. Kids slept on the sidewalk. Even after doors opened Saturday morning on our warehouse sale, they waited another 6-7 hours to enter. I know, it doesn’t make sense. The savings and the time spent don’t add up. Also, streetwear lineups these days are all about buying something to sell. That’s the difference with our brand. Our followers come to be a part of the experience. They buy our clothes to WEAR it, which is almost a rebellious idea in this new streetwear paradigm of disposable profiteering fashion.

There’s no thought of re-selling, never violence in our crowds. People make lifelong friends in line. I see familiar faces. Our warehouse sales are family reunions. I’ve watched these children grow into parents of children themselves. I remember their stories, I thank their moms, I sign their The Hundreds keepsakes right next to my signature from eight years before. Our Warehouse Sales are like our own conventions. The majority of the people show up wearing their favorite pieces. There are kids who discovered and fell in love with The Hundreds this year, in Elvira T-shirts and G-Shock watches. The OGs break out the classics like Pins hoodies and Cans T-shirts circa 2007. Either way, I smile. It means so much. Look, the point of these sales is to make $$$, but we could do it bigger, faster, and easier online. Instead, we hold these sales at our homebase to bring us together.

We have our designers, sales guys, marketers, admin team, even Ben and I working the floor. We ring you up and stuff your bags. This is our moment to meet, for you to ask us questions. It’s also a reminder for us that we’re not just grinding away without purpose or end-user. We’re in this building every day, drawing, crunching numbers, and answering e-mails. It’s easy to forget WHY we do what we do, and WHO we do it for. I think every brand should have Warehouse Sales like these to restore connection with their customers. But then, I remember that most brands don’t have a community and culture like ours. THANK YOU for coming out this weekend, but thank you more for participating in this relationship. It’s a 2-way street. The Hundreds is Huger. 2018.”
